MAKING A HOT CEYLON CINNAMON TEA

cinnamon tea

The ultimate way to enjoy Ceylon Cinnamon Tea is just plain, without milk. This tea is made with premium large leaf Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) Ceylon Black tea which gives it a pleasant almost malty taste with hints of citrus and a natural sweetness unique to real Ceylon Cinnamon..

The Ceylon Cinnamon Bark oil gives this tea a sweet and slightly spicy flavor to it. It's not the crude spicy flavor of Cassia Cinnamon but the more sophisticated flavor and the heady aroma of Ceylon Cinnamon.

It is invigorating, boosts your energy levels and helps reduce all the aches and pains in your body, especially after the gym. If you get a stomach flu or a bug this is should be your first choice, unadulterated with neither sugar or other spices.

DIRECTIONS (FOR 2 CUPS - 16oz)

  1. Boil 2.5 cups water (Preferably use filtered or spring water for better taste). You use 2.5 cups of water because some of the water will evaporate and some of the water will be absorbed into the tea.

  2. Black Tea requires the water to reach 210 degrees F, so you you should use a kettle or pan with a lid and not microwave the water

  3. Drop the tea bag into the cup and then pour the hot water over it and let it seep 3-5 minutes. The reason why you pour the water over the tea bag is because this way it will saturate the dried tea leaves faster and better release all that is good about the tea.

  4. Remove tea bag and squeeze all the water out of it and drink.

  5. Add some honey or sugar to sweeten it just a bit (optional). Sugar brings out the flavor of Cinnamon even more so we prefer that over honey, which takes the taste in a very different direction.
