The classic iced cinnamon lemon tea made with ceylon black tea, lemon peel and honey. A clean tasting Cinnamon tea with the wonderful citrus taste of fresh Lemon peel. The honey adds a wonderful flavor and the lemon adds freshness on a hot summer day.

INGREDIENTS



DIRECTIONS



  1. Pour 3 cups cold water into a pan, add chopped lemon peel and boil to a boil on medium high heat. About ten minutes.

  2. Add the Cinnamon Tea bag, switch off stove and let it steep for 5 minutes

  3. Add 1 tsp fresh lemon juice and Add 4 teaspoons honey to taste

  4. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight

  5. Remove from refrigerator, shake well, fill 3/4 of the glass with tea and the balance 1/4 with whole ice cubes or crushed ice and serve

Notes :

1. For measuring the amount of lemon peel accurately use a measuring spoon like this Ikea red tablespoon shown in these photos.

2. Adding more sugar - We think 4 tablespoon of honey is perfect. You can add more but that might make it sickly sweet. The trick about ice tea of any kind is to make it refreshing but not overly sweet. Some even prefer zero sugar. It's your choice.
